They pulled up in a ’71 Chevy with a tackle box and fishing rods in the bed. Randy Houser played on her iPod as she sat in the middle seat, snuggled close. He smiled and revved up the engine… and they just drove.

This engagement shoot is in the running for one of my favorite shoots. Ever.

We chatted about them. What they loved to do. Together. Crawfishing and catching bull frogs.

Well, it is a bit late in the season for bull frogs, but crawfishing was instantly the perfect idea for Kevin+Chloe’s engagement session. Plus, any engagement shoot where cowboy boots are the appropriate attire, and the night ends off with a campfire and s’mores is a pretty good idea. Have I mentioned how much I love my job? :)

Sidenote: Kevin also proposed to Chloe on an afternoon spent fishing. With a beautiful engagement ring tucked inside their fly box. Loved re-creating it for their ring shots!

All fun aside, these two are one of the sweetest couples you will ever meet. They set such an incredible example, and their God-centered relationship is such a beautiful thing to witness. I am so happy for you both and honoured to be a part of your day as you become husband and wife this September! Enjoy!
