This Saturday, at about 5 am (yikes!) I will be piling into a car with two other incredible photographers to caravan to the airport. Yup, I am headed back to California!

At the same time last year, I went down for this conference called United (you can check out my blog posts from United 2013 here). United was such an incredible experience. An experience filled with lots of learning, growing, dreaming, late nights, early morning sunrise shoots… and lifelong friendships built.

I am SO excited to be heading back down to Santa Barbara for United 2014… AND to also be staying a bit longer in California to explore and take full advantage of those sandy beaches and sweet California sunsets with my camera.

This year, instead of cramming my free time at the conference full of shoots, I decided to keep my schedule open. I am ready for the unexpected. Unexpected coffee runs. Unplanned lunch dates. Morning runs on the beach with new friends. And maybe even some yoga! Last year, those 5 minute conversations in-between classes were some of the ones that impacted me the most… so this introvert is facing her FEAR.
