My HEART is smiling. My mind is excited. My dream… is almost complete. On Monday I received the layout of my new blog design. I woke up Tuesday morning ecstatic. Crazy I know, but it has been a process. A good one.

Three years ago I sat down to write my first blog post. Eighteen years old. I had just completed my first family session. I invested in Pro Photo which was a HUGE investment for me at the time. What if this didn’t work? What if no one wanted to hire me?? What the HECK am I going to write on the post with the photos??? I remember sitting at the computer– looking at other blogs to see how they did it. It was an art; a talent I swear. But one I hoped I would learn, or would come eventually with time. I had no idea where to start…

1. Weather? Umm crazy sunny. Harsh, harsh lighting. Shadows.

2. Location. Pretty sweet. I tried to convince the teenage boys we were being rebellious. ;)

Yup. Here it is. This was my first blog post. I love it. This was the beginning of my blog. My web presence. My space and tool to show friends and family I was interested in photography. PS. This family is ah-mazing!

Guys, I am SO EXCITED. Pumped. Stoked. I could not be happier to have a brand that represents me, my personality, my loves, my adventures… and my incredible clients. It truly is that. Me.

So… prepare yourselves. The finishing touches are… getting finished. And this place?? This place is about to get invaded with a little bit of pretty. It’s makeover time. ;)

Oh! And for the surprise… here is a little sneak peek as to what is in store! Well, it is more of a BIG sneak peek but I couldn’t help it. What do you think?? :)

PS. Side note. When I was thinking of what song I would use as the title of this blog post… My train of thought was: beginning, new.. hmm… and then The Start of Something New… from High School Musical popped into my head. Cheesy, I know. But I couldn’t resist. haha. ;) Enjoy!
