I’ve found my best friend, and I couldn’t be happier to spend my life with him.

We chatted online for over 5 months, but our schedules never allowed us to meet up. It wasn’t until Shawn messaged me randomly on NYE, that we found out we were at the same party. But oddly enough, we couldn’t find each other. It wasn’t until end of January of 2013 that we went on our first date at the Alibi Room in Vancouver. The second I saw Shawn in person, I was head over heels. How did I wait this long to agree to meeting in person? From that day on, we were inseparable. We share a love for adventure, good food and craft beer, and exploring all that BC offers. 

We had planned a 5 day kayak camping adventure exploring Sechelt Inlet. We spent the first day kayaking 5 hours in the pouring rain to our first camp site at Tzoonie Narrows, where we set up camp. It was the morning after when Shawn surprised me and asked me to marry him. Of course I said YES! :)

Winnie+Shawn are such a genuinely sweet couple. Between our initial meeting over coffee (which we ended up talking for 2 hours of non-wedding related topics), to their adventurous engagement shoot at Jones Lake, getting to know these two this past year has been such a joy. Winnie+Shawn, I am so excited to see what the future holds for you on this new adventure as husband+wife! Love you guys!! xo
