I love California. Love it. I don’t know if it is the gorgeous golden light, the constant sunshine, good friends, or the many stunning beaches. ;) There is something about it. It was nice to be able to maximize my time there this summer and squeeze in second shooting Jamie+Jeremy ‘s engagement session with Jaime when I headed down for Phil+Courtney’s gorgeous beach wedding. It was funny on the drive to the engagement session (in Orange County). Jaime and I were talking and she was saying about how these two wanted something different. Like a trail, or something other than the beach… You know, more trees! It is so uncommon down there apparently, but for us B.C. photographers… man! It is the other way around.

These two are such a sweet couple. Jamie+Jeremy went to high school together, and then casually started talking over Facebook after Jeremy was stationed in Afghanistan with the United States Army. You can check out more of their story here on Jaime’s blog post. :) Anyways, it was neat to be able to document their engagement while I was in town and Jeremy was on leave. Jaime (the photographer) and I had fun switching off first shooting/second shooting and learning from each other as well. So interesting to see the way other people shoot! It was fun to be able to teach her my ”hand” trick. :)
