Well guys, this post is a bit deeper than usual. For those tuning in, I usually post about my love for DAVIDs Tea… how the beach is my favorite place in the world… how I seriously have THE BEST clients out there who allow me to document their lives… oh yeah, and I share some photos sometimes too. ;)
Last week I found out I have a hater out there. This week especially, I have been very aware and blown away by the kindness, encouragement, and support from friends, family, clients, and fellow photographers. Blown away. Friends who without knowing what has happened, have made me feel so loved and encouraged. Now, first of all, know I am not blowing off the situation.
I know that I am quirky. I know that I probably look really funny when I am singin’ along to Luke Bryan in my car. I know that my editing has improved A LOT in the last three years. I know sometimes my blog posts are random, grammatically incorrect, and not as frequent as they should be. I know that I have INCREDIBLE friends in the industry who have been the biggest blessing, regardless of the fact that we are each others ”competition”. Most of all, I know that I am not perfect. I have tried my best to be transparent by sharing myself and my style, to ensure I am a good fit for my clients.
With that said, THANK YOU to those of you who have been with me on this journey. Those who have given me insight and advice. Those who have kindly given constructive criticism when needed. Those who have been there from the beginning, helping me grow. And those who have SUNG ALONG.
As with anything, I have learned a lot in this journey as a photographer, but there is still so much ahead. Thank you for joining me on the ride.
For you; family, friends, clients, photographers and vendors, I am truly thankful.
Taliah, haters will hate. They do so for one reason, jealousy. You are such a beautiful, wonderful, fantastic, talented, spirited, happy person who shines and don’t ever let anyone dull your sparkle! (I may have borrowed that last part from a quote somewhere :P) but it’s true!
Haters will hate, so laugh in their face. They’ve got nothing on you and they know it.
Head up, stand tall, be proud. You’ve come a long way baby!
Aww, Taliah, you are amazing. And as hard as it is to believe that someone is showing negativity toward you, I hope you realize that the positivity that radiates off of you is contagious, and you inspire so many people. Don’t let those silly opinions be the ones that fill your thoughts :) God Bless you and all that you do! Love ya!
