“You can be comfortable or courageous, but you cannot be both.”

If you have been following along on my instagram adventures, you may have noticed after my obsessive amount of beach photos that I have been exploring California the past couple months.

Why you may ask? Well, this fall I decided I needed change. I never imagined that a crazy/stressful couple weeks and a spontaneous flight for some much needed down time at the beach would result in a few month adventure… but I am so grateful.

This winter I have been learning to be courageous. Well, actually more like letting myself be. Doing the things I love but never made time for. Living. And living life full. Facing my fears, the unknown, and the unexpected head on in a new town, and living life spontaneously. Santa Barbara has always seemed to have a special place in my heart ever since we stepped off the plane two years ago for United (photography conference)… but I never dreamed I would grow to love it this much.

Anyways, here are a few photos from my mini road trips without destinations, weekend adventures, and daily explorations.

PS. Apparently I kind of like the ocean. :)
