As I am writing this my legs are covered in mosquito bites. I have a pile of laundry in my room that smells like cabin+campfire and feet so desperately in need of a pedicure after climbing over countless barnacle covered rocks. All lingering evidence of a great weekend.

A weekend filled with endless drives in the sunshine exploring, drained ipod batteries from listening to that summer playlist on shuffle, afternoon naps by the ocean, and just enjoying quiet moments + wholehearted conversations along the water.

So glad I made the last minute decision to join my family on Mayne Island for the long weekend.

PS. These are my parents. I insisted on grabbing a few photos of them, but my dad would only co-operate when I told them to kiss… so here we are. ;)
