I remember the first time I saw you.

I do. Not in a love at first sight kind of way, but I saw you. Standing there at work helping a customer. I didn’t think anything of it, but I saw you.

I had just gotten back from (living in) California a few weeks before. With a one-track mind and heart set on finding a way to move to that golden state that stole my heart. I was determined to find a way. A bit frustrated to be back and away from a community and place that had become my new home. But being back was temporary… until I figured it out.  It was. It would take a bit– finding a way, getting the paperwork and visa, but I thought 6 months max. And oh, did I mention my one track mind?? California. Photography. California.

She emailed asking if I would be willing to fill in at DAVIDs Tea a couple days a week. I agreed. I love DAVIDs Tea. The rain was getting to me and changing up scenery to keep busy always helped.

I remember the first time I saw you. On my first day. You were there. In the Telus kiosk right in front of the store.
