The smoke filled skies and fire-red sun joined their intimate bohemian wedding day. With their closest family and friends from all over the world in attendance, these two wholehearted souls became husband+wife. Congratulations Brooke+Einar! We loved celebrating with you! xo
PS. There was no way I could do their story justice, so they BOTH wrote their versions of their love story below. It’s pretty incredible.

Our journey started four years ago when we met in Hawaii while working with a Bible school in a missions organization (youth with a mission). He was staffing the school, and I was a student in the Bible school. We became friends throughout, and grew to be even better friends afterward even though he lived in Norway, and I lived in the US.
After some bad dates, and a long conversation with my mom… last August, my mom told Einar he should marry me… and so it began. We talked and joked about it, and fell in love before I went to see him in Canada for the first time last October. God had already aligned our paths before this to work with this missions organization again in Vancouver BC. After two visits to Canada alone my parents came with me in January, and Einar proposed on the top of Mount Seymour as we overlooked the city. Our relationship has been an adventure… long distance and lots of travel, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. It allowed us to learn so much about each other that I don’t think we would have had it been any other way.
I moved here in June, and made the best decision of my life this August… I chose to never stop adventuring with the love of my life forever!
from the groom //
When we met in Hawaii four years ago, Brooke was to be my student in a bible school, we bonded over deep theological conversations. I was intrigued by her curiosity and her heart for truth. In the years following her bible school, we stayed in touch, she visited me in Norway once and we FaceTimed often, making it clear that our friendship now went beyond that of a staff- student relationship.
Last summer, Brooke and I spoke over FaceTime and her mother asked to have a world with me. She asked me to “please marry my daughter”. Until then I had not thought it a possibility, but I told her mom “I would be honored to marry your daughter”. Brooke and I talked afterwards and I told her that I would love to take her out on a date if she would meet me in Vancouver during the fall when I was moving there, and she agreed! From that day on we spoke nearly every day. By the time she visited the first time I had already fallen in love and was hoping to move towards marriage!
Brooke had become my best friend and I was falling for her more and more each day. On her third visit to Vancouver, I proposed and she said yes! This summer we got married, saying our yes to adventure together for the rest of our lives! I am so blessed to get to spend the rest of my life with such a beautiful soul, wonderful communicator, committed friend and loving wife!
