Community. Last year you may remember my post about Dreamers: A Jamie Delaine Workshop . One of the biggest things that I will forever take away from that experience is the community of AMAZING women from it. We have had a facebook group going from the event where we just shoot out questions and words of encouragement. Back in June I never would have imagined the incredible friendships that would grow as a result of it. I have had the privilege of working alongside so many incredible, talented women and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for all of them! Annyyywayyysss. One of the girls who attended the workshop lives in Wenatchee, WA. Just a 4 hour drive away, but yet a world apart if it wasn’t for social media! Nicole and I kept in contact a little bit after the workshop. It has been so cool watching her business grow over the past year. Man does she rock “Senior Photography”! A couple of months back I saw that she was hosting a lighting workshop. I was so excited when she asked if I would assist her! So… last Monday I headed off to Wenatchee after work! The drive down was a little sketchy in the dark but it was oh-so-worth it!
I have a lot to write about here. This was a full week full of adventures, laughs, attacks from bats, and of course, lots of photos. So I think imma going to split this up into four parts.
So… Here is part one. The adventure. The behind-the-scenes story.
On the road. Nice iPhone self-portrait Tal. What’s a roadtrip without Starbucksssss??? :) (Ps. I’m not THAT addicted. One is water. ;))
I drove into town around 10pm. Checked into my hotel. Got a message from Nicole to meet her at Target. So I aimlessly drove in the direction and found it. Ta Da. We ended up heading back to her house and chatted it up until 1am! Boy did the time fly. I love doing life with this girl–my new “separated at birth sister”. I had a blast just hanging out, picking eachother’s brains, helping put together gift bags, and brainstorming.
Tuesday: Workshop. Good morning Wenatchee. Mmmm. So glad I brought my DAVIDs Tea. Hotel room coffee makers are the best!
The workshop location was GORGEOUS! Right on the river at the beautiful Wenatchee River Lodge.
After a long day, Nicole and I hit up McGlinn’s for dinner. She took me to all the ”coolest” restaurants in town. ;) So yummers. We ate dessert too. I was so full!
Wednesday. Workshop Day two.
Thursday. Nicole+Taliah date day!
We checked out her studio. And had a spontaneous photo shoot of eachother. And had fun. Lots of it.
Love this girl.
We laughed lots. And lots. Everyone thought we were sisters. I had a blast with you Nicole! Thank you so much for EVERYTHING! Can’t wait till you come to visit in a couple months! Goodbye Wenatchee.
