It started on the way to the airport — their proposal story…

Garrett hid the ring in his wallet so he wouldn’t have to check it in his bag… but was a ”nervous wreck going through security having visions of one of the guards pulling out the ring and having to propose in the airport”. All went well though, and they booked a tour in Mexico called Rhythms of the Night where you take a cruise chasing the sunset across the bay, and then when you arrive on the other side it is dark and everything is like up by fire. After a nice candlelit dinner and Cirque Du Soleil show, Garrett suggested they walk down by the water before they had to leave. They walked past a closed sign (Garrett kept going) and after much convincing, Lauren finally joined Garrett by the water despite being worried about going to Mexican jail. ”Once she was with me on the beach the moment was right and the rest is history.”

 Part way through their mother-son dance, Garrett’s mom kicked off her shoes and they started line-dancing together! It was such a fun way to get the dance party started!
