Rick and Renee are definitely one of the sweetest couples around. After hanging out with them last Sunday, I could not be more excited to document their wedding this December at Kirkland House. They both have this genuine joy and are so kind hearted. It is such a blessing to be around. We lucked out with a sunny day, and although we had to do it in the middle of the day, it was such a beautiful afternoon in Fort Langley.
Shooting in locations that have sentimental value are the best. It is so fun to hear all the stories, see the exchange of smiles, and document their engagement in the place where it all began. Now, there is no way I can ever do this justice… but this past August, Rick brought Renee a flyer of a ”treasure hunt” that was happening in Fort Langley. He even went around and put up flyers and the clues along with some extras for other ”participants” so Renee wouldn’t suspect a thing. After a fun day hunting around Fort Langley, the treasure hunt lead them to the beach where a box was buried. PS. Renee was hesitant that the ”treasure” would be buried in the sand, so after much convincing, Rick dug it out. :) Inside the box was a beautiful engagement ring with a note that said ”you are my treasure”. Isn’t it sweet??
Rick+Renee, I cannot wait to be a part of your wedding this December! You guys are awesome. :)
