Ok, so I kinda sorta like the people… A LOT! Oh man, where do I begin? Two weeks ago I went to Camp Qwanoes on Vancouver Island with 27 youth and leaders from our church for a weekend retreat. On Friday afternoon, I picked up Julia and we headed off to meet the group at the ferry terminal. With an endless supply of girly music to sing along to (i.e. heavy on the swifter;)) and of course Starbucks to give me a bit of energy, it was a great start to an awesome weekend! Mind you, I quickly learned that Starbucks is definitely not needed because the energy and excitement amongst twenty teenagers is definitely contagious! =P

As I drove home from the weekend completely exhausted, I realized how overwhelmed I was by these guys. Now, not overwhelmed as in we-stayed-up-all-night-and-sang-way-too-loud-till-i-lost-my-voice kind of overwhelmed, but overwhelmed with happiness. Saturday night after an awesome night game, our group went down to the dock and we were all just hanging out. Some brought their guitars, and everyone was just enjoying the night together. As I was watching them all, I realized how incredibly proud I was of them. Now, this may sound kind of weird coming from a nineteen year old girl, but I have had the privilege of being a youth leader to some of these guys for the past three years. It has been amazing watching them grow, love and support each other, and rise up as leaders in their everyday lives. This is a fantastic group of young adults and I am so excited to see where God is going to lead them.

Now, I have a feeling this is not the only post you will be seeing about this weekend as there is so much to say. But, this post here is about my favorite people and all their crazy, super fun personalities that make me laugh until my stomach hurts. These guys are such a huge part of my life and I love them to pieces! These pictures are a little crazy and fun… but I am pretty sure it captures the weekend perfectly! ;) Enjoy!
