Last weekend was one for the books. One that leaves you with stories, new friends, and hundreds of photos, but not one of them could do this place justice. ~~ Big Sur.

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Mycah tagged me in an instagram post of a spontaneous idea Greg (a photographer they had worked with in the past) had to bring wedding photographers together via a camping trip. So, last weekend I road tripped up the (stunning) PCH with Mycah and her hubby Bobby to meet up with 5 other photographers from across California for a weekend filled with campfires, exploring, photography, but most of all, community. Here is some of our daily adventures, my attempt to document the STUNNING landscapes, and a funny story below!

SOOO this happened…. and we have photos as proof! Here’s the story! Mycah so graciously offered to take a few photos of this beach lover. We had been hanging out down by the ocean for at least a half hour or so, so we had a pretty good idea of where the waves were hitting. Anyways, all of a sudden one looked a lot bigger than the others, so I naturally started to take a few steps back… But I guess it wasn’t enough… ;)

Soaked. And COVERED in rocks from the rocky beach. We all laughed SO HARD. Oh man, my hair was such a knotted and rocky mess! I don’t think I have ever been so excited to snuggle into a warm sleeping bag! :)

Anyways, we fell asleep to the relaxing sound of the river behind our campsite, and then set off on some more adventures with our cameras Saturday too!

So thankful for these two friends (I miss them already!). #thecamptribe, I loved meeting you all and I cannot wait for our next adventure! Yosemite anyone?? :)
