As I am writing this I am on my way home. Sitting in the window seat at 6C, letting that Californian cotton candy sunset fill my heart one last time; making me want to burst open the exit row door and turn right around.
Anywayssss, despite my absolute procrastination. Despite the hundreds of times “I want to stay” ran through my head (and out loud probably annoying the guys at the office) today trying to figure out a plan…. From “kidnapping me” to my fellow police friend finding someway, some law or rule broken (haha far from) That forced me to stay in the country…
Despite my anxious heart about heading home, I am thankful. Thankful for this too short, but FULL adventure. Full of quiet moments spent in prayer. Full of sandy toes and filling my lungs with that sweet ocean breeze. Full of laughter and hugs. A week of being sharpened by community and refueled by perspective. A week of traveling, exploring, and living without a plan or to-do list.
If you read my last post, this season has been an interesting one. Despite it all, I am choosing to view it as a blessing. One filled with adventure and the unknown. A season of taking risks, living full, and being spontaneous. A season filled with many changes, but in the middle of them all, I am grateful for this stage of life. One that is so often viewed as a waiting period, but one that I am choosing to enjoy fully, and embrace all the possibilities. Even the “crazy” ones. ;)
I don’t know what comes next. Or even what I am going to accomplish on my editing/writing/email/business to-do list tomorrow. ;) But what I do know… When given the opportunity, JUST GO. Every time.
