I remember the day Jamie Delaine announced her DREAMERS photography workshop back in March. :) I called my mom and dad and literally freaked out! I was pumped! I had been following Jamie Delaine’s blog for months and I absolutely LOVE her work. Hearing about how she got started with her business at such a young age was a huge inspiration to me and definately helped to keep me motivated (most of the time…) starting out. Anywho… months past, life and work got busy, and June 6 crept up out of nowhere! It was so great to meet you seventeen other incredibly talented and sweet women. I loved hanging out with you ladies and learning from each other. Oh boy. So many laughs. ;)
The workshop was located at Jamie Delaine’s studio in Fort Langley. (Her studio is incredble for the record! ) I was greeted by Jamie and found a seat. The tables had beautiful flower arrangements from Balconi Floral Designs, a Moleskine journal, and a Mink Dark Chocolate Bar. Sooo yummy!! We then talked through everything under the sun from dreaming, branding, inspiration, marketing, networking, organization, outsourcing, to pricing strategies. After a delicious lunch catered by Wendel’s, we headed off to Derby Reach for a sample “model” shoot with Jamie’s friends Leanne and Sam. Let me tell ya… They are awesome! So much fun and an awesome couple! Oh man, I don’t know how they put up with having EIGHTEEN cameras in their face but they were incredible! So great. Here are a few shots I grabbed. PS. Shoot and posing credit goes to Jamie Delaine. :)Hehe… So great. Jamie teaching us how to use the back focus button… Leanne is gorgeous! Her hair and make-up was done by Kristy Lee. Leanne’s super cute headband is from peacelovevintageshop on etsy and her dress was purchased from H&M… Love that store! Soooo Twilight…Jamie and I were wearing matching TOMS. Awesome. Love it. The night ended off with dinner at Beatnik’s Bistro… much better than watching the Canucks game Monday night! Ick! So yummy! For more info and photos, check out PART 1 of DREAMERS.
