We walked along the row of palm trees at Butterfly Beach. With the waves crashing below and sand squishing between our toes, he pulled her in close with that Santa Barbara sunset and muted cotton candy clouds painting the sky.

Every time I go to this place I am blown away by the community and people here. Seriously. Months ago while I was staying in town with my friends Andrew+Kimmy, they had a picnic planned with two other couples from church. They invited me to join with open arms, and these two– Zak+Maxine, were one of the other sweet couples there!

Zak+Maxine are such a genuine couple and it was so fun getting to know them better and exploring Santa Barbara, CA while I was in town last week. They are celebrating 12 years together. Pretty rad. Congrats Zak+Maxine! Can’t wait to see you guys again soon (hopefully! :)).
