They met in Kenora, Ontario where they both grew up. After a long distance relationship, a move to Manitoba, a house, and 5 years of dating, Kyler proposed on a post-dinner boxing day walk.

I had no idea he was going to ask, I actually pushed him and said ”ya right”. I thought he was joking… I knew we’d get married someday but with buying a new house and just getting on our feet I knew financially it wouldn’t happen anytime soon. I’m also very hard to surprise lol… so he did good!!

We met for the first time once I arrived at the resort for their destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas. Fresh off a delayed flight, they ran over with open arms welcoming me to Mexico. Later that evening, Holly and her #bridetribe invited me to her room to hang out…  Aka chilling on the king bed in their honeymoon suite listening to Ed Sheeran while watching a fashion show by none other than the bride-to-be, to weigh clothing/accessory options for their week of wedding events ahead.

Holly+Kyler couldn’t have picked a more beautiful setting. Sandos Finisterra is such a stunning resort, with this authentic+natural feel, and is literally built right into the cliffs with palm trees and cacti everywhere. It was pretty incredible. Between saying their heartfelt vows among the crashing waves, hanging out with their awesome bridal party+guests, or dancing the night away at their rooftop terrace reception under the stars (and full moon!) overlooking the harbor and coastline. Celebrating with these two and their “tribe” was a blast.

Destination weddings are such a unique experience, and it always blows me away how I end up with the sweetest couples who not only bring me to Cabo to document their intimate day, but go out of their way to make me feel welcome and a part of the crew. It is my favorite part. We were sitting at the beach when Holly and I were asked how long we’ve known each other for. Guys. We met the night before. Feel so lucky to adventure+celebrate with some of the raddest couples (and new friends!) out there.

Holly+Kyler, and the rest of your crew, thanks so much for one heck of a week and for inviting me to celebrate with ya’ll. Can’t wait to visit out east (hopefully) soon. ;)
